Die... THUNDER RULZ!! ....BEEYYOCH!

[Front Page]

Damien's background is somewhat blurred, with the few details he remembers being violent and depressing ones. Born in the Year 324 PA, Ruhl lived the life of a farmer's boy outside the outskirts of Old Santa Fe.  His world of  milking cows and harvesting fields was shattered when the Masscare Hoarde, a band of mercenaries from the neighboring kingdom of Hellfire, laid siege to his home. During the Raid of Screams, Ruhl was forced to witness the  rape and murder of his mother and sister, the murder of his father and  the kidnapping of his brother at the hands of   the invaders. Damien was then beaten and stabbed and  left for dead when Lord Drake's clan of Cyber Knights intervened. Seeing what was left of the small hamlet of  Olde Santa Fe, Drake took on the responsibility of rebuilding and restoring the broken town and its survivors.  Damien's Life was saved by drake, who would later become his master, by having his missing right arm replaced  with a cybernetic version.

Hungry for justice, Damien  asked to join the cyber-knight path. Seeing his determination, Drake had one of his best trainers take the young Ruhl under his wing. By the year 339, Ruhl had been granted Knight status and renamed "Thunder".   During the rebuilding of the town, Drake's men where unaware of the Massacre Forces building strength in the west. The loss they suffered at the hands of the Cyber-Knights didn't sit too well with Dark Skull, leader of the Massacre Hoarde. Even more sickening was the growing rumors of a young cyber knight prodigy that can control the elements of lightning better than any of his personal magicians.

In an attempt to wipe out this possible threat, Skull himself ordered the assassination of this cyber knight. When the job was carried out, however, the two hit men killed 'X' instead of Thunder himself. Infuriated by this action, Thunder went after the hit men, tracked them down, and skinned them alive. Upon his return to Drakes camp, instead of being hailed as a 'great warrior', he was tried and convicted of the brutal murder of the two hit men. The brutality that was carried out was un necessary and the fact that both hit men were un-armed at the time had broken 2 key aspects of Cyber-knight Honor. understanding the reasons behind the acts, however, Drake imposed a quest on the stripped Thunder. Find DarkSkull and bring him back as a live prisoner in the year 341 PA, Thunder left his home.

6 months into his quest, Thunder stumbled upon a detachment of Massacre soldiers. Once he infiltrated the encampment, Thunder was surprised to find out that  his lost brother Kreuger, was still alive after all these years. More shocking, was the fact that Kreuger had become a noted champion of the Massacre Hoarde, a position given to only the best fighters in the Hoarde. Thunder tried to make contact with his sibling, only to be captured (Kreuger turned him in) and brought before the  Keeper of the Hoarde, Lord Darkskull himself. It was reveled that Darkskull, being unable to father children of his own, had adopted the talented Kreuger as his own son and was preparing him to take over the Hoarde itself. Feeling the anger and hate which filled  Kreuger's heart, Damien swore an oath (a very important promise in Cyber-Knight society) that he would save his brother from the evil that swelled within him.

Seeing an opening during Damien's lynch parade, Thunder knocked out his brother and escaped the Hoarde encampment with the help of his miniature orkish companion, Oaf. Not knowing what to do with his brother, Thunder traveled to see a wise man known as Fu. Fu advised Thunder that the only way he could save Kreuger from the evil that ley inside of him was to show him the truth about what happened to their family. This meant having to return to Old Santa Fe. Feeling uneasy about the prospects of returning without DarkSkull, Damien asked Fu to look after Kreuger while he tied up a few loose ends. Fu agreed to this and Thunder was on his way again, this time with Oaf in tow.

Thunder's plan was to break into Darkskull's castle and kidnap him. This would of worked, if Oaf  didn't get to carried away and wake the powerful emperor up from his sleep. Darkskull , knowing how powerful Thunder could be, called in his guards to protect him. After a furious battle, Thunder was wounded. Again a captive of the Hoarde, Thunder was subjected to torture and the fires of hell itself. Darkskull attempted to perform the same possession ritual on Thunder that he had performed on Kreuger. During this torment, thunder was forced to come to terms with his own past and anger that he had with in. Realizing that Darkskull was mentally bonded to him during these torture sessions, Thunder figured out that he could return the favor and hurt Darkskull back.

It was also during this time locked away in prison that Thunder first came into contact with KK and Doom. In the year 348 PA,  James Bourne, looking for his missing wife, Katrina, had heard of the Massacre Hoarde's many attempts to kill her. Following up on a tip, James and Keith raided the small encampment looking for their missing comrade. While James was searching the prision for his wife, KK (with the help of Assmunch) took it upon himself to raid the castle of Darkskull itself in the search for weapons and the leader of the hoarde. James first came upon Thunder's cell and thought nothing of it. Just another prisoner, right? It wasn't until James turned off all the force field doors to relieve the prisoners, did the famous techno-wizard realize what Thunder can do.

Considering the fact that Thunder's armor plating appears or disappears at will (PSI-Armor!), Thunder went into action and started to beat the hell out of the cell block guards with his bare hands. Impressed by his fighting abilities, and in need of a guide, James asked for Thunder's help. Having agreed to help James out, both men searched the complex. The search come up empty, however. Realizing  that KK was still inside of Darkskull's castle, James and Thunder quickly freed Oaf from his cage and ran towards the castle itself. Once the two men arrived, however, the castle was in ruins (a usual KK trademark) and Darkskull had fled the scene.

Angered and week, Thunder thanked the KK and Doom for their help in freeing him and began to gather his things together and leave. Feeling sorry for the troubled knight, James offered Thunder a residence on Skulle Island in exchange for his Knightly services. Thunder, however, declined due to his quest for the only man that could help to bring honor back to Thunder and allow him to return to Old Santa Fe with Kreuger. Understanding the need for this quest, KK told James to let him go about his business. The three men and one ork camped together that night on the outskirts of the decimated Hoarde camp.

During this time period, all parties involved got to know each other better. Before Thunder left the camp the next morning, KK and James gave Thunder a golden ticket (which would enable him to enter the city of Killshire) and told him that if he ever needed help, just to look up KK and Doom. After their final good-byes, Thunder and Oaf made their way off to the east...never to be seen from again.....(?)
