Kit's Biography Time Line

---------465 AD--------

Kitiria is the youngest of Merlin’s 4 daughters. In a prophesised fight to retain the powers of white magic, Kit has been destined to fight the youngest of Merlin’s most hated enemy, Morgana. Having been trained for this battle ever since he was born, Alasdair was very unimpressed with his future opponents magical abilities. His arrogance was his down fall, however, when Kit made quick work of him during a small conflict when he was 5. Impressed by her un-canny abilities, Alasdair, like his mother, sat and brooded over this loss for another ten years. During the ten years of peace, Kit grew up, as a magician, and as a woman. Since a 15 year old girl was usually expected to be married during the time period of her birth (Medieval times), the young Kit was very adult like in nature. Her powers grew in strength as the knowledge of her father’s magic was being drilled into her by Merlin. Merlin knew that it was only a matter of time before Morgana and her son would wield their ugly heads again and he wanted to have Kit prepared. He had already lost his eldest in his war with Morgana, he wasn’t going to let Kit follow the same fate. During this time off, Alasdair was intensely training himself.

Like his mother, losing left a bitter taste in his mouth and he not only wanted to destroy Kit, but to punish her for damaging his pride. As a counter to Kit’s intense elemental spell training, Morgana thought it best to focus her son’s magic knowledge on the most basic of forces, Time. Training under the Temporal Raider Kul-Rok, Alasdair had gained little variety in his spell knowledge, but the few Temporal spells he had been taught where at the master level and could easily destroy his adversary. Feeling confident, Morgana, with Alasdair, made a surprise visit to the fields above Merlin’s cave in 480 AD. As a stipulation in the prophecy, both combatants could only fight when each has attained the age of 25 years and is nearly equal in magic knowledge. Up until this time, both Kit and Alasdair where immortal. Knowing this, Morgana wanted to take the opportunity to show off in front of her most hated rival. After seeing the striking young Kitiria, Alasdair, who was also 15, felt emotions long since dead in his mother. As a deep sense of desire arose inside of Alasdair, he secretly decided to keep Kit for himself instead of destroying her. Having senses this perverse interest in Kit, Merlin lashed out at Alasdair, nearly destroying the young man with an intense fire attack. Morgana retaliated with an attack of her own, only to be destroyed by an intense wind attack by Kit. Angered by the sudden chain of events, Alasdair lashed out with an ice blast that struck Merlin with such a fury that the fabled sorcerer shattered instantly into small pieces of flesh and bone.

Hearing the cry’s of her daughter, the former Lady of the Lake came to the top of the hill, only to notice the shattered remains of her husband and an ashen pile of debris separated only by the too young children. Kit sat over the charred remains of her father, sobbing. She then noticed the amethyst necklace that was locked inside of Merlin’s left hand. She took it out of his grasp, hoping that some magical powers lied inside. Powers she could use upon Merlin’s murderer. Furious about the destruction of his mother, Alasdair unleashed one of he newly acquired temporal powers upon Kit. In an attempt to save her daughter, the wife of Merlin leaped in front of the attack. Considering the fact that she herself was 100’s of years old, a harmless ageing spell that would only render a normal human 60 years older, made Kit’s mother revert back to her own Real Age! Kit was left in shock while she watched her mother gain 10 years every second after being struck by the blast. Horrified by what he had done, and remindful of the prophecy, Alasdair attempted a powerful D-Shift spell to send Kit away to another time period until the time of the battle. Having messed up the incantation wording, Kit was thrown into a different dimension in which Alasdair didn’t know where she was.

-------1995-1999 AD-------

Kit awoke on top of a dumpster in 1991 Chicago. Considering she knew no modern English (Gaelic was the language of her day) Kit quickly found herself as a stranger in a strange land. A land full of mechanical horses, brick castles reaching to the sky, and no magic. She was trapped on Pre-Rifts Earth, where magic hadn’t existed in over 10,000 years. Kit, like her father before her, was a survivor. She was forced to take refuge inside of a burned out, abandoned building. She became a very good scavenger, and quickly learned that someone with a funny green paper can barter for food and clothing. Within the fist 3 months of her arrival, Kit had learned a few basic English terms, such as yes and no, and harnessed other ‘talents’. She became the best pickpocket on the block and, even though she didn’t like stealing, Kit began to pride herself on her abilities. This pride, however, got her caught shop lifting inside of a small grocery store. As soon as the police realized that this girl didn’t even have a social security number, they handed her over to Child Services instead of sending her to Juvenile detention. At first, her case worker, Thomas Goodman, thought that she had either been abused or was retarded, due to her speaking a language that had been dead for over 10 millenniums.

He had her sent to the Harding Ward home for Abandoned Children, for a few weeks, to see how she would react. By the time she walked into the Harding Home for the first time, Kit was an introverted 17 year old who was confused about her own existence. It was here that she would meet her future husband, Josh Anderson. Anderson, 17 himself, had a long history of being a quiet young man who didn’t acquaint himself with many people. When he first laid eyes on Kit, however, his heart had fallen head over heals for her. Kit grew extremely close two of the House Counselors, Jason Bourne and Kara Riley. Kit was Jason’s case first, but Kara had found the young girl very intriguing, and Kit’s adjustment to modern America quickly became a team effort. Since Kit was a natural singer, Kara came up with the idea of teaching Kit English through music and song. Remarkably, by the time Kit was 21, she had an intellectual grasp of the American English language and even graduated high school level schooling with honors. During the 3 years she spent in the Home, Josh and Kit became close companions.

This wasn’t hard considering that Josh was on Kara’s case load and Kara could put 2 and 2 together the first day she saw the two together in the same room. Josh became the one person Kit could talk too with out being made to feel like she was nuts or crazy. Josh was the only soul to know of Kit’s true past. Josh grew to be the only person Kit that she could ever love and the two began dating in 1997. In December of 1999, the two were married. As fate would have it, WWWIII (and the coming of the RIFTS afterward) would quickly separate the two shortly after they tied the knot. As the nuclear warheads were wiping out the inhabitants of Modern Earth, the sudden release of PEE (magic) energy was so devastating that tremendous Rifts in time and space ripped open and magical energy flowed, unchecked, back into the Realm of Earth.

Each living being has a minute amount of PPE energy locked away inside them. Most humans had so little of the force, that centuries upon centuries of human existence had wiped out magic as a realistic power, more or less mythical. With the instantaneous death of 6 Billion humans and billions more animals and plant life, the sudden release of PPE energy had literally ripped a whole in time and space! Allowing many different magical beings to enter the realm of earth freely. These holes in time would later be known as RIFTS. This sudden burst of energy had sucked Kit into a small scale rift (10ft in diameter), and Kit found herself in a strange place once again, on RIFTS Earth!

--------313 PA, Rifts Earth---------

Having awakened from what appeared to be a long slumber, Kit found herself in the ruins of Notre Dame, France! She felt rejuvenated by this place, and was quickly searching the ruins for her husband. The only thing she found, however, was her dead father, Merlin. Unlike the Merlin of Legend and reality, this Merlin had a very blunt sense of humor and could be easily pissed off. This was evident when he found the Blood Druids very vulgar and set out to vanquish them from his property. Kit later learned that this was once Merlin’s French Sanctum and than the Blood Druids wanted no part of the site, due to the intense White Magic that laid within the building. As a part time hobby, Merlin would do what he could to make the Blood Druid Townships of Dracaena and Le Fret as unbearable as possible. Using his mighty powers (Notre Dame was on a Ley-Line Nexus point), he brought as much pain and suffering as he could upon what he called ‘the lost souls’.

Unlike the Merlin she knew., this new Merlin was the aggressor, not the pacifist. In order to bring in money and keep her and her father fed. Kit would later run into a Cyber-Knight name Sage. Sage would become her personal protector, and honor that the independent Kit was sometimes irritated by. In search of a way to provide for her and her father, Kit returned to a life of crime, becoming a very well known global thief for hire. It was during one of these jobs she met James Bourne and company…..
